FC Samartex to face Raja Casablanca in CAF Champions League play-off after narrow win

FC Samartex will go up against Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in the second round of the CAF Champions League playoffs following their 1-0 victory over Victoria United in the second leg of their first-round tie.

The match, held at the Accra Sports Stadium, saw a single goal from Isaac Afful in the 8th minute secure the win for the Ghanaian champions. Despite numerous chances for both sides, no other goals were scored, ensuring a 2-0 aggregate victory for FC Samartex.

The team showcased resilience to maintain their early lead and secure progression to the next stage.

FC Samartex’s clash with Raja Casablanca is scheduled for September, marking the next step in their campaign towards the group stages of Africa’s premier club competition.
