Heart of Lions coach Bashir Hayford is taking a cautious approach ahead of his team’s upcoming encounter with Hearts of Oak this weekend in Kpando.
Both sides are eager to bounce back after disappointing starts to the Ghana Premier League season.
Heart of Lions began their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Aduana FC, while Hearts of Oak suffered a shocking 1-0 loss to newly promoted Basake Holy Stars, leaving both teams desperate for a win. Speaking to Peace FM, Hayford acknowledged the challenge of facing the Phobians.
“Going into the Accra Hearts of Oak game, it is our own field. With that in mind, we are going to play our game.
So I don’t want to predict. Hearts of Oak is not a small team,” Hayford stated, showing respect for the caliber of his opponents.
Heart of Lions will look to capitalize on their home advantage, as they remain unbeaten in their last two home matches.
With Hearts of Oak struggling for consistency, having lost three of their last six games, the Lions are aiming to exploit their weaknesses and secure a much-needed victory.
