Ghana’s Head Coach, Otto Addo, has highlighted Medeama SC and FC Samartex as his early favorites for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.Addo’s comments come following his observation of Medeama’s 1-0 victory over Legon Cities at the Legon Stadium in match week two.
He had also watched FC Samartex, the defending champions, secure a win against Nsoatreman in the 2024 Ghana Super Cup at the renovated TNA Stadium last month.
Additionally, he noted Medeama’s penalty defeat to Basake Holy Stars in the Apinto Cup on the same day.“From what I’ve seen of Medeama and Samartex, they are performing well,” Addo remarked to the media after the Medeama-Legon Cities match.
“So, it might be between these two teams, but since I haven’t watched all the matches yet, I’m also looking forward to seeing how Kotoko and Hearts of Oak fare, along with other strong teams, to get a clearer picture.
”Addo also shared his plans to attend more Ghana Premier League matches this season to scout for local talent.
