Asante Kotoko captain and goalkeeper Frederick Asare has expressed his worries about the team’s ongoing goalscoring difficulties as they gear up to face Nsoatreman FC in a crucial Ghana Premier League match on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
The Porcupine Warriors will host Nsoatreman in a highly anticipated matchday two outstanding fixture at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.Reflecting on the team’s recent outings, Asare admitted the frustration that accompanies missed scoring chances. “Sometimes it is very disappointing that we are not able to score more goals,” he remarked.
“However, the coaches are working tirelessly at the training ground, and we have been focusing on goalscoring every single day. “Asare expressed confidence in the coaching staff’s strategies, stating, “We as players are very confident in what they are teaching us, and we believe in ourselves. We trust in our strikers and every department of the team.
” He highlighted the squad’s determination to enhance their performance with each game.With a hopeful outlook for improvement, Asare noted, “From tomorrow, there’s going to be an improvement because we trust in ourselves. Moving forward, I believe there will be a noticeable difference.
“So far, Asante Kotoko has netted just three goals in their first three league matches, with one goal scored in each game.
Midfielders Emmanuel Antwi and Michael Kyei Dwamena contributed two goals, while striker Albert Amoah accounted for the other.
