Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw by Aduana Stars in their fifth game of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season at the University of Ghana Stadium on Friday evening.
Despite the Phobians brilliant display, they were kept at bay by a resilient defensive performance from the visitors who ended the game with ten men, failing to to register their second win of the season.
This clash was hardly the uplifting response the Phobians would have wanted after last weekend’s goalless draw with Nations FC.
Hearts of Oak’s approach to this encounter was entirely different and were much improved, dictating play and creating chances, only to be denied by the cross bar in the second half.
Aduana Stars goalkeeper Massawudu Inusah also did well just to keep the fire boys in the game following the red card of Rich Sackey on the 60th minute and had to be alert several times.
The Rainbows, who currently sit tenth on the league table with 5 points from 5 games will travel to Wenchi to face Young Apostles on week 6 whiles, Aduana Stars who are yet to pick a win host Dreams FC at home.
