Head Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has announced a 25-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sudan, scheduled for Thursday, October 2024 and Tuesday, October 15th.
The Black Stars, who failed to pick victory from their opening two games against Angola and Niger will hope to thump the Sudanese side to stand a chance of booking a ticket for the tournament in Morocco.
Players are expected to begin preparations for the make-or-break encounter early next week. The first leg will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium before the return leg in Libya.
Key players such as Inaki Williams, Thomas Partey, Kudus Mohammed, Jordan Ayew, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku remain in the squad.
The team welcomes Alexander Djiku, who missed Angola and Niger clash due to to injury. Djiku has now returned to full fitness, takin part in Fenerbahçe’s last four games.
However, FC Samartex defender has been named in the 26-man squad for he upcoming game.
Otto Addo’s side sit third with just one point after two games.
