Kotoko also registered four shots on target, while Samartex only managed two efforts that tested Kotoko’s goalkeeper.Despite the close scoreline, Kotoko’s disciplined defense and commanding play ensured a well-deserved clean sheet.
The win leaves Kotoko in second place on the league table, just one point behind leaders Bibiani Goldstars, with a game in hand. They will next face Legon Cities in Accra as they look to extend their unbeaten streak.
Meanwhile, Samartex will be seeking a bounce-back performance in their upcoming match against Berekum Chelsea.
