Veteran forward, Abednego Tetteh, has controversially revealed that matches against Ghana’s two biggest clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, are the easiest for young footballers in the Premier League. The 34-year-old made these remarks following his team’s crucial 1-0 victory over Kotoko at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium last weekend.

Tetteh, who celebrated his birthday last month, spoke after his side, Heart of Lions, achieved another significant win, following their earlier triumph over Hearts of Oak in week 2. The Giant Killers secured a narrow win over Kotoko thanks to Kwadwo Obeng Jr.’s first-half strike.

In an interview with Sompa TV, Tetteh explained that playing against the country’s top clubs provides a golden opportunity for young players to showcase their skills on a national stage. He emphasized that while these games can be challenging, they offer an ideal platform for emerging talents to grab attention.”Playing against Hearts and Kotoko are the easiest games to play in the Premier League.

I’ve played against them several times, so I have the experience and know what it takes to face them,” Tetteh said. He went on to encourage young players to approach these high-profile matches with seriousness and to give their best in order to make a lasting impression.

“Young players need these games to sell themselves, and that’s what we, the experienced players, always tell them,” he added.Although Tetteh has yet to score in seven league appearances this season, he will be hoping for a starting spot when Heart of Lions host Berekum Chelsea in Kpando this weekend.
