Asante Kotoko ended their four-match losing streak with an impressive 2-0 victory over Aduana FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
Patrick Asiedu opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick in the 10th minute, followed by Albert Amoah doubling the lead with a composed finish on the hour mark.
The win brought relief to Kotoko fans and marked a significant moment for under-pressure head coach Prosper Ogum, who was celebrated by Asiedu after his goal. Despite a delay in the second half due to alleged fan invasion, Kotoko remained focused and secured all three points.
The victory propels Kotoko to seventh place on the league table with 18 points from 12 matches, while Aduana FC continues to struggle in 14th place with 12 points.
This win could serve as a turning point for Kotoko as they aim to climb higher in the standings and regain their winning form.
