Asante Kotoko is set to appoint a new Technical Director as part of recent changes announced by the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), according to Kumasi-based Kessben FM.
The move follows the resignation of Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum from his position within the IMC.
The decision, reportedly approved by the club’s life patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Manhyia Palace, will allow Dr. Ogum to focus entirely on his responsibilities as head coach, where he will continue guiding the team towards achieving its competitive objectives.
To further support Dr. Ogum’s efforts and strengthen the technical structure, the club has decided to recruit a new Technical Director.
This addition aims to bolster the team’s performance as Asante Kotoko looks to bounce back from a challenging start to the Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors have come under scrutiny following a five-match winless streak, but they recently ended that run with a 2-0 victory over Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
Currently, Asante Kotoko sits 7th in the league standings with 18 points from 12 matches.
The club will now turn its attention to their upcoming Matchday 13 clash with arch-rivals Hearts of Oak this Sunday.
