As part of ongoing restructuring efforts, Asante Kotoko Sporting Club is set to appoint a new Executive Board Chairman to steer the club’s strategic direction. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the club’s life patron, will take up the pivotal role.
The revered Asantehene is expected to formally announce a reconstituted board of directors and management team in the coming days to replace the current Interim Management Committee (IMC).
The IMC, led by Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, has been overseeing the club’s affairs with the support of key figures such as James Kwesi Appiah, head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Emmanuel Dasoberi, who recently departed to take up a role with CAF.
Otumfuo’s leadership as Board Chairman is set to usher in a new era of stability and vision for the Porcupine Warriors.
The restructured board and management team will include other prominent individuals with diverse expertise to ensure effective governance and operational efficiency.
This major step is part of Kotoko’s broader agenda to rebuild its technical and administrative framework, with a focus on achieving sustainable success on and off the pitch.
