The hero of the day was striker Albert Amoah, who bagged a brace to lead his team to victory. The first goal came in the 65th minute when Amoah capitalized on a through ball from midfielder Saaka and calmly slotted it past the Future Stars goalkeeper.
The Porcupines continued to control the game and extended their lead in the 86th minute when Amoah struck a stunning shot from outside the box, finding the top left corner of the net. Despite their best efforts, Future Stars FC were unable to break through the solid defense of Asante Kotoko.
The final whistle blew with the scoreline at 2-0 in favor of the home team, who now look ahead to their next challenge in the MTN FA Cup.
