Asante Kotoko’s technical director, Malik Jabir, is brimming with confidence as the club prepares for the highly anticipated Super Clash against their archrivals Hearts of Oak on December 15th.
Despite enduring a challenging six-game winless streak, Kotoko bounced back with a dominant 2-0 win over Aduana FC. Hearts, on the other hand, have shown resilience, recovering from a slow start to secure key victories, setting the stage for what promises to be a fierce contest.
Jabir remains confident in his team’s ability to handle Hearts’ strengths and expresses confidence in his players’ readiness for the challenge.
“We know Hearts of Oak well and see how we handle them. They’ve scored two goals, and we’ve scored two as well. We had chances to score in the first half but didn’t take them, so don’t worry it won’t be the same. The opponent isn’t the same either. We have young, vibrant players, and I’m not concerned about what they used to do,” he stated in an interview with Peace FM.
With both teams aiming for victory, the upcoming Super Clash is set to reignite the intense rivalry between Ghana’s footballing giants.
