Nations FC right-back Emmanuel Boahen has spoken candidly about his failed transfer to Ghanaian football giants Asante Kotoko during the summer transfer window.
Boahen, who had an outstanding season with Nations FC, was on the radar of the Porcupine Warriors following his stellar performances in the Ghana Premier League. However, despite advanced talks, the move did not materialize.
“Few things didn’t work out for me to join Kotoko. I had to return to Nations FC because I was still under contract with them,” Boahen explained in an interview with Kessben FM.
Boahen’s strong defensive displays played a pivotal role in Nations FC’s impressive debut campaign, where they finished seventh in the league. Looking ahead, Boahen has set his sights on securing the Ghana Premier League title with Nations FC.
“Our objective is to win the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season. We are determined to grind results in our games to better our chances,” he affirmed.
Currently, Nations FC sits second on the league table, trailing leaders Bibiani Goldstars by just one point after 12 matches.
The Abrankese-based club remains focused on sustaining their form as the season progresses.
