Former Asante Kotoko management member George Kennedy has expressed worry over the club’s performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, calling for urgent improvements.
The Porcupine Warriors faced significant criticism after enduring four consecutive league defeats. However, they managed to bounce back with a morale-boosting 2-0 away victory over Aduana Stars.
Despite the win, Kotoko’s overall performance this season has been inconsistent. With five wins, three draws, and four losses, the team sits in 7th place on the league table with 18 points after 12 matches.
Kennedy, who attended Kotoko’s recent FA Cup triumph against Future Stars, where they advanced to the Round of 32, voiced his concerns in an interview.“We need to do things better as a club.
It’s unacceptable for Kotoko to lose consecutive games. As we return to Baba Yara Sports Stadium, we hope and pray that things go well for us. We are tired of losing; it’s time to win games,” he told Kessben FM.
The Porcupine Warriors will face fierce rivals Hearts of Oak in a high-stakes Matchday 13 encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium when the Ghana Premier League resumes next week.
