The ‘Ogya’ club has been without a permanent head coach since parting ways with Yaw Acheampong following a defeat to Asante Kotoko. The management is now set to return their former tactician, with an official announcement expected before the Ghana Premier League resumes after the election break.
Aristica, 53, last coached Bangladesh Police FC in the Bangladesh Premier League. His return to Aduana Stars is critical as the club struggles in the ongoing campaign.
The two-time Ghanaian champions are enduring a difficult season, with just two wins, six draws, and four losses in 12 matches. Currently sitting 14th on the league table with 12 points, the team faces mounting pressure to turn their season around.
Their woes deepened over the weekend with a shocking 1-2 FA Cup elimination at the hands of city rivals Dormaa Unity FC in the round of 64.
Aristica’s reappointment is seen as a move to stabilize the club and revive their form as they seek to patch the cracks and climb out of the relegation zone.
