Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah has confidently backed his former team to secure a win against Asante Kotoko in the highly anticipated Super Clash on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Phobians aim to end a three-match losing streak against their fierce rivals, and Attah believes they have the quality to do so. “Hearts of Oak will beat Asante Kotoko; I foresee a 2-1 victory for Hearts of Oak on Sunday,” Attah told MOTV in an interview.
During his tenure with Hearts of Oak, Attah achieved a remarkable record of three consecutive clean sheets against Asante Kotoko from 2021 to 2022. He has now urged the team’s current goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, to continue the tradition.
“I want Benjamin Asare to continue my record of keeping clean sheets in all Premier League games against Asante Kotoko, starting this Sunday,” he said.
Hearts of Oak currently sit sixth on the league table with 19 points from 12 matches, while Kotoko trails closely in seventh place with 18 points.
Sunday’s clash promises to be a fiercely contested encounter as both teams vie for supremacy.
