Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has confirmed the club’s plans for significant squad reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window as they aim to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title.
The Porcupine Warriors, currently three points behind league leaders Heart of Lions, boosted their campaign with a crucial victory over rivals Hearts of Oak in the weekend’s Super Clash. With the league crown last secured three years ago, the club is determined to mount a stronger title challenge.
Coach Ogum shared his optimism about the club’s recruitment efforts during a media interaction.
“There are a lot. We are going to see a lot of signings, that is if all things go well. We’ve started a lot of talking and then we are sure that we will get them,” he said.
The coach highlighted the importance of securing key additions to enhance the squad’s depth and quality.
“We are hoping and praying that things change and even if they do, they go in our favour so that we can augment the team,” Ogum added.
Asante Kotoko has already made an early move in the transfer market by signing Kwame Opoku on a free transfer, signaling the beginning of what promises to be an active window for the club.
