Asante Kotoko gaffer, Prosper Narteh Ogum has said they will face a big challenge from Bibiani Gold Stars on Friday evening, but they are ready to extend their winning streak after Sunday’s win over Dreams FC.
The Porcupine Warriors, who are now unbeaten in their last four games will welcome the Miners to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on week 15 of the Ghana Premier League as they hope to repeat their feat from 2021/22 season to battle for the title.
“I think it is a big game. Gold Stars is a very big team. They have great players, and they have one of the respected coaches in the person of Frimpong Manso, who I look up to so much. He respects me so much, and I also respect him so much, so I think that it’s going to be a very tactical game with a lot of aggression. The aggression component is going to be very high because everybody would want to wn the game, so it is going to be an aggressive game on Friday, but I think we are ready. We only have to structure our training program very well,” Coach Ogum stated in his post match remarks following their 2-1 win over Dreams FC in Tuba.
Asante Kotoko now sit 5th with 24 points, three behind leaders Heart of Lions after week 14.
