The National Circles Council (NCC) and Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Asante Kotoko have approved the upcoming election for China Circle 0086’s interim leadership, set to take place on January 30, 2024, in Shanghai.
Kwesi Appiah, the club’s Head of Sporting Affairs, has urged the circle to ensure the elections are conducted peacefully and in line with constitutional guidelines. Thomas Kojo Eduku is the sole candidate contesting for the vacant leadership position.
In April 2022, the circle retained its chairman, Richard Oduro Koranteng, and appointed a 7-member interim executive team.
The NCC has endorsed these interim appointments and emphasized the importance of formal elections to solidify the leadership structure.
The election committee of the association has scheduled 30th January, 2025 to conduct the formal elections.
