Asante Kotoko have officially announced the signing of experienced forward Sampson Eduku on a one-and-a-half-year contract, following a successful medical.
The 29-year-old striker joins the Porcupine Warriors with an impressive track record, having previously played for Samartex and Tamale City. Eduku enjoyed a standout 2022/23 season with Tamale City, where he scored 14 goals and provided 4 assists.
His stellar form earned him a move to Iraqi Premier League side Al Quwa Al Jawiya, where he continued to demonstrate his goal-scoring abilities.
Head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum expressed his enthusiasm for the new signing, stating, “Sampson is a proven goal scorer with versatility and experience. His ability to score and create chances will enhance our attacking options.
We’re excited about his arrival and confident he’ll make an immediate impact.” Eduku, equally thrilled, shared his excitement about joining Kotoko: “It’s an incredible feeling to sign for a club as prestigious as Kotoko.
This is a major milestone in my career, and I understand the high expectations here. I’m ready to work hard, score goals, and contribute to the team’s success.
Competing alongside top players like Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku will drive me to improve further. I’m eager to give my all for this great club.”
