Former AshantiGold SC forward Seth Osei has publicly apologized to Asante Kotoko and Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah for backing out of a deal to join the club.
Osei was on the brink of signing for the Ghana Premier League giants last year but instead chose to move to South African Premier League side TS Galaxy. However, his time in South Africa was short-lived as the club terminated his contract.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM, Osei expressed regret for disappointing the club and its fans, explaining that his decision was driven by a desire to explore opportunities abroad.
“I want to sincerely apologize to Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah and the supporters of Asante Kotoko for raising their hopes that I would join the club,” Osei said. “At the time, I prioritized playing in South Africa.”
Currently, Osei has been linked with a potential move to Hearts of Oak, sparking speculation about his next destination in Ghanaian football.
