Asante Kotoko have invited right-back Philip Nii Kojo Sackey to their Adako Jachie training grounds for trials as they seek to bolster their defensive options, Ghanasportspage.com can exclusively report.
Following the injury to Emmanuel Kotei, Kotoko are in the market for a reliable right-back to provide depth alongside their only current option, Lord Amoah.
Sackey, who has previously played for Great Olympics, is under assessment by the technical team, who will decide whether to offer him a deal. In addition to Sackey, Kotoko are reportedly scouting other players to strengthen their squad, notably Richard Wiafe.
The Porcupine Warriors have already secured the services of Kwame Opoku and Sampson Eduku during the January transfer window as they aim to boost their title ambitions in the Ghana Premier League.
