Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer, the owner and president of Tema Youth FC, has affirmed his intention to return to football administration, stating he has “unfinished business” with Ghana football.
The experienced football administrator previously served as an Executive Council member and a management committee member for the Black Stars under Kwesi Nyantakyi’s administration.
In 2019, Osei Palmer was unexpectedly disqualified from contesting the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential elections by the Normalization Committee, a decision that stirred controversy within the football fraternity. Despite this setback, Palmer remains resolute about his commitment to the sport.
Speaking in a recent interview, he expressed his determination to continue contributing to Ghana football. “Despite what I have gone through, I cannot say I have stopped football administration.
This is what I have done all these years, so I cannot stop,” he said. “I have unfinished business with Ghana football,” he emphasized.
Osei Palmer’s announcement comes shortly after his recovery from an illness, signaling his readiness to resume active participation in football governance.
