Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum believes beating Vision FC and Karela United at home can lead his team near the Premier League’s title.
The Porcupine Warriors have shown remarkable improvement, drawing one and winning four of their last five Premier League games with one draw and climbing to sixth on the table with 28 points.
Kotoko’s recent form has been impressive, with the team now trailing behind the top spot with just two points.
A win over the Vision FC on Sunday and Karela on Matchday 17 further bolsters their chances of securing a first place, which would guarantee them the hope of winning the league title.
“I think it should be a turning point for us in terms of our ambition to compete for the trophy. It should be a turning point for us.
“We are playing two games at home, and we should make the very best of this opportunity, try and play well in terms of performance, try and make sure that we make good use of the chances we create. It is all about the three points. When we get the three points or this vital six points will inspire us a lot in terms of our approach at training and our approach in subsequent games so is a good opportunity and we need to grab it,” Coach Ogum said.
The Porcupine Warriors will wrap up the first of the Ghana Premier League against Vision FC before taking on Karela United on matchday 17 at the same venue.
