Asante Kotoko’s latest signing, Kwasi Asante, has expressed his excitement about joining the club, describing the move as a homecoming.
The former Simba player is eager to make an impact and help the team which he claims to adore achieve success this season.
“Joining Kotoko feels like a homecoming for me. This is a club I’ve admired for years because of its history and passion. When the opportunity came, I didn’t have to think twice because I wanted to be part of something special here,” Asante told the club’s media.
The left-back acknowledged the high expectations and is determined to give his best effort. He embraced the competition within the squad, which he believes will push him and his teammates to perform at their best.
“I know the fans have high expectations, and I’m ready to give everything I’ve got to meet them. Competition for places is part of football, and I welcome it because it makes us all better. I’m here to work hard, contribute to the team, and help Kotoko achieve its goals this season,” he added.
The 29-year-old has signed a one-and-a-half-year will run until 2026.
