Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Kwame Keyekeh is officially renouncing his Ghanaian citizenship as part of his transition to becoming a Tanzanian citizen.
According to African Football expert, Micky Jnr.Keyekeh’s Ghanaian passport has been forwarded to the Director of Passports in Ghana for cancellation. The process has been confirmed, with all necessary documents signed and submitted.
A copy of the official letter has been received, signaling the completion of Ghana’s part in the transition. The Ministry of the Interior in Ghana has also approved and signed the required documents.
The final step now lies with Tanzania’s Ministry to issue him a Tanzanian passport, making him a full citizen of the East African nation.
The 26-year-old currently plays for Singida Black Stars SC in the Tanzanian Premier League, and his move signifies a significant personal and professional step in his career.
Keyekeh won the Ghana Premier League twice with Asante Kotoko and FC Samartex respectively.
