Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is aiming for his second Premier League title with Asante Kotoko this season after claiming a vial win over Karela United on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a hardfought 1-0 win over the Pride and Passion at home, lifting them to the top of the league table with 34 points.
Kotoko, who are now unbeaten in their last six league games, will hope to extend their lead with another win when they visit Nsoatreman FC on week 19.
Speaking in a post match interview, Coach Ogum said: “Staying on top should be our aim. It should be our aim if we want to win the league, but we need to take it game by game. This game is over, and we need to focus on the next game and make sure that we get the maximum points.”
Asante Kotoko has now scored 12 goals and conceded only three in their last six league games. They are also unbeaten in their last three away games and will hope to extend it in their next trip.
