Ghanaian left-footed talent, Samuel Abbey Ashie Quaye has completed a move to Lithuanian club FK Babrungas on a one-year deal with an option to extend. The 23-year-old, known for his versatility as both a left winger and left-back, makes this switch after three seasons with Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.

Ashie Quaye, a product of the renowned Attram De Visser Academy, has been a standout performer in Ghanaian football. His move to Europe comes after years of consistent displays, catching the attention of FK Babrungas and earning him an opportunity to showcase his skills on the European stage.

The deal was facilitated by UK-based sports agency 89 Sports. FK Babrungas, currently competing in Lithuania’s top leagues, sees Ashie Quaye as a crucial addition to their squad, with his pace, technical ability, and defensive solidity expected to boost the team’s performance.

At the international level, Ashie Quaye has represented Ghana at multiple stages, featuring for the U-20, U-23, Black Galaxies (local-based national team), and even earning a call-up to the Black Stars. His exploits with the Ghana U-20 team were particularly notable, playing a key role in the team’s 2021 U-20 AFCON triumph.

The young Ghanaian star is tipped to be one of the country’s next big football talents, and this move to Lithuania is expected to provide him with the platform to further develop and make an impact in European football.

Speaking after the signing, Ashie Quaye expressed his excitement about the new challenge:
“I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I’m ready to give my best for FK Babrungas. This is a big step in my career, and I can’t wait to get started.”

With his undeniable talent and determination, many in Ghanaian football circles believe this is just the beginning of a promising European adventure for Samuel Abbey Ashie Quaye.
