Accra Hearts of Oak have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for violating safety and security regulations following their Ghana Premier League match against Young Apostles FC.
According to the GFA, the club breached Article 8(e) of the 2025 GFA Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols and Article 34(6)(d) of the 2019 Ghana Premier League Regulations.
The allegations state that Hearts of Oak allowed unaccredited persons, specifically their supporters, into the Safe Zone to celebrate, which is considered misconduct and a violation of security protocols.
The GFA has given the club until Tuesday, March 11, 2025, to respond to the charges. If found guilty, Hearts of Oak could face potential sanctions.
