Accra Hearts of Oak have secured the long-term future of their star goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, after he signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper has been a crucial figure for the Phobians, recording an impressive 13 clean sheets this season.
His performances have been instrumental in the club’s defensive stability, earning him a call-up to the Black Stars.
There were earlier reports of a standoff between Asare and the club over renewal negotiations, leading to speculation that he might leave at the end of the season.
However, after weeks of discussions, Hearts of Oak have successfully tied him down with a new deal.
He joined the Phobians in the summer of 2024.
