Akwasi Adu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bibiani GoldStars, has expressed confidence that the club is well-prepared to compete in next season’s CAF Champions League.
The Miners secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Medeama SC on Matchday 28 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, extending their lead at the top of the table. With 53 points and six matches remaining, GoldStars are firmly in the driver’s seat for a place in continental competition.
Asked about their readiness to represent Ghana in Africa’s premier club tournament, Adu assured fans that the team is adequately prepared and resourced for the challenge.
“We are well-prepared and well-resourced to compete in the CAF Champions League next season,” Adu told Asempa FM. “We will fight till the end of the season to finish on a high, but our primary focus is on playing in Africa, and we are ready for that.”
Looking ahead to their remaining fixtures, GoldStars will face Vision FC in Matchday 29 before taking on Karela United. They are set to receive a walkover against Nsoatreman FC and will host Asante Kotoko. In their final two matches, GoldStars will travel to Berekum Chelsea before concluding the season at home against Accra Lions.
