Asante Kotoko are expected to name a strong starting lineup for their crucial Ghana Premier League Week 33 encounter against Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
With three matches left in the season and the title race still wide open, head coach Abdul Karim Zito is expected to name a competitive XI despite the absence of top striker Kwame Opoku, who is currently on international duty with the Black Stars for the Unity Cup in London.
Goalkeeper Mohammed Camara is likely to maintain his place between the sticks. In defence, Lord Amoah and Patrick Asiedu are expected to operate as full-backs, with Joseph Ablorh and Henry Ansu forming the central defensive partnership.
The midfield trio is likely to feature Andrews Ntim Manu and Michael Kyei Dwamena as the anchors, while Baba Yahaya will play in a more advanced role to connect midfield and attack.
With Kwame Opoku unavailable, Albert Amoah is set to lead the line. He will be flanked by the returning Peter Amidu Acquah and in-form forward Sampson Eduku, forming a front three capable of troubling Medeama’s backline.
Kotoko currently remain within striking distance of the league summit and will be eager to secure maximum points to sustain their title challenge and build momentum heading into the season finale.
