The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned four Berekum Chelsea players—Mizack Afriyie, Stephen Amankona, Zakaria Fuseini, and Seidu Mohammed—for misconduct during their MTN FA Cup semi-final clash against Asante Kotoko.
According to an official GFA update, the players were each fined GHS 1,000 after being found guilty of unsporting behaviour towards the match officials.
While the fines have been issued, the GFA revealed that they have been suspended for a period of six months, effectively serving as a warning to the players involved.
The statement further emphasized that any recurrence of such misconduct will attract more severe sanctions, potentially including longer bans or heavier fines.
