Asante Kotoko are set to announce the signing of right-back Victor Oduro, who has successfully completed his medical ahead of a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
The 24-year-old defender, who joined Nations FC from Dreams FC last season, underwent his medical examination on Saturday and is expected to sign his contract on Monday, according to close sources.
Oduro will be reunited with his former coach Abdul Karim Zito, who played a pivotal role in his development during their time together at Dreams FC.
The move comes as part of Kotoko’s squad restructuring ahead of the 2025/26 season, with Oduro expected to fill the void left by Adrian Adjetey, who was recently released by the club.
Oduro made nine appearances for Nations FC during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign, showing glimpses of his defensive solidity and ability to contribute to attack from the flanks.
At Kotoko, he will compete with Lord Amoah for the starting right-back role as the club aims to build a solid defensive line under the guidance of coach Abdul Karim Zito.
