Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay has made shocking revelations about his time at the club, accusing ex-teammate Kwame Opoku of snatching his girlfriend.
In a candid interview with Pure FM, Blay recounted personal betrayals involving two of his past romantic partners during his spell with the Porcupine Warriors.
“I had a girlfriend who used to visit me at the camp,” Blay revealed.
“Before I knew it, the same lady was involved with Mohammed Camara. We had a disagreement that led us to the police station, but I was advised to settle the matter amicably with the lady, which I did.”
The midfielder then went on to allege that a similar episode occurred with striker Kwame Opoku.
“After that, I had another [girlfriend], and I introduced her to Kwame Opoku. He used to talk to the woman, and before I realised, he had snatched her from me.”
Blay stated that the situation became so serious that then-head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum had to intervene to resolve the matter internally.
“I approached him about the issue, and he denied it. The issue was settled by Coach Ogum, and even before Karim Zito arrived, it had to be addressed again. But what Kwame Opoku did really hurt me.”
The revelations have sparked widespread reaction among fans, with many expressing shock over the off-field drama involving key figures in Kotoko’s recent history.
