Asante Kotoko’s new forward, Morifing Donzo, has officially been handed the iconic number 9 shirt ahead of the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old Guinean striker, who joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal from Hafia FC, is expected to lead the club’s attacking line.
Donzo brings with him experience from the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, and is seen as a major boost to Kotoko’s forward options.
Wearing the number 9 jersey, Donzo follows in the footsteps of some of Kotoko’s great strikers, and fans will be hoping he lives up to the expectations associated with the shirt.
Cameroonian forward George Mfegue was the last foreign player to wear the shirt, which he won the league before his departure in 2023.
