The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and betPawa have confirmed the continuation of the Locker Room Bonus for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The renewed commitment includes an exciting expansion to include the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
Under the initiative, every player in a winning squad — men’s or women’s — will receive GH₵400 from Matchday One.
The Locker Room Bonus, first introduced in the men’s league, has been praised for boosting player motivation and rewarding performance.
This season’s extension to the women’s competition marks a significant step toward promoting gender equality and incentivising excellence across Ghanaian football.
The GFA says the move reflects its commitment to “uplifting the domestic game” while betPawa sees it as “investing directly in the players who bring the sport to life.”
