With few days, to Asante Kotoko SC National Circles Council (NCC) supporters chairmanship polls has seen the withdrawal of dedicated fan of the club Robert Osei Asibey from the race.
Asibey who previously held the position of National Circles Council Public Relations Officer (PRO) on Friday confirmed his decision to step down from the race, citing personal and pertinent factors for this step.
He was in the race with Solomon Ofosu-Ware and Benjamin Obeng Sekyere.
“I write to formally notify you of my decision to withdraw my candidacy from the upcoming elections for the position of chairman for the National Circles Council of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC”
“The decision has been taken after a careful consideration of personal and other pertinent factors”, portion of his letter to the Committee in charge of the election reads.
However, the Chairmanship elections is scheduled for Thursday, 28th August 2025.
