Asante Kotoko to reportedly host their CAF Confederation Cup games at the Accra Sports Stadium for the 2025/26 campaign.
According to Nhyira Sports, the decision follows CAF’s approval process, with the Accra Sports Stadium currently being the only venue in Ghana that meets the Confederation of African Football’s requirements for continental matches.
This means Kotoko will temporarily shift away from their traditional home ground, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, as they seek to make an impact in Africa’s second-tier club competition.
Club management believes the move will ensure compliance with CAF standards while also giving supporters in the capital the chance to rally behind the Porcupine Warriors during their continental journey.
Kotoko will commence their campaign on September 19, 2025, when they face Kwara United in preliminary round. The second leg is scheduled for September 26, 2025 in Nigeria.
