Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have announced the signing of former Nations FC midfielder Abdul Karim ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The hardworking midfielder has penned a two-year deal with the Phobians after protracted negotiations.
The 22-year-old joins as an ad-free agent after parting ways with Nations FC at the end of last season.A statement on the club’s social media page stated;
Karim had attracted interest from several clubs but ultimately chose the Accra-based club that showed a strong interest in him.He featured in 19 matches in the Ghana Premier League last 2024/25 season, helping Nations FC to finish fifth in the Ghana Premier League.
Former Bechem United star was part of the Black Galaxies side during the CHAN qualifiers, though Ghana ultimately missed out on qualification.
He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the window, following the arrivals of Baba Adamu, Ali Mohammed, Prince Owusu Kwabena, and Frank Duku.
Abdul Karim is expected to make his debut for the Phobians this evening when they face Heart of Lions in the GHALCA Top Four.
