The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the appointment of Maxwell Konadu as the new head coach of the U-20 national team, the Black Satellites.
Konadu, a former Black Stars assistant coach, replaces Desmond Ofei and will be assisted by Johnson Smith (Nations FC), Winfred Dormon (Dreams FC), with Kelvin Agyemang serving as goalkeepers’ trainer.
The experienced coach previously led Kotoko to the Ghana Premier League title in 2012, the President’s Cup in 2019, and guided Nsoatreman FC to their historic MTN FA Cup triumph in 2023/24.
He also won WAFU titles with the Black Galaxies in 2013 and 2017.
Konadu’s appointment is seen as a major boost for the Satellites as they prepare for upcoming continental and international assignments.
