Ghana Sports Page can exclusively disclose that six venues have been approved by the Ghana Football Association’s Club Licensing Committee for the upcoming Ghana Premier League, which kicks off next week.
As confirmed by the committee’s chairman, Dr. Kwame Baah Nuako, the venues approved include the Aliu Mahama Stadium, while the Baba Yara Sports Stadium has yet to meet their required condition.
He confirmed in an interview with Sporty FM that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Dun’s Park, Swedru Stadium and the remaining venues can be used or approved if only the conditions given are met.
These decisions were based on inspections conducted by the committee, focusing on the infrastructure criteria required for licensing.

The 2025/26 Premier League season will kick off on the weekend of September 12, 2025, and end on the weekend of May 23/24, 2026.
