Accra Great Olympics General Manager Eric Alagidede, despite seeing his outfit suffer a defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak SC in the 2025 Democracy Cup, insists teams in Division One League Zone three should be concerned of their coming.
The Dade Boys fell 1–0 to their city rivals at the University of Ghana Stadium on Friday night, but wants their opponents in the 2025/26 Division One League especially Zone Three to be worried of their compact team. Eric Alagidede hailed Olympics resilience, describing his team’s display as a statement of intent ahead of the new campaign.
“I think what we exhibited here today is a clear signal to all the teams in Zone Three that they’ve got to be up there to be able to play against Accra Great Olympics,” he said.
The former Karela United FC General Manager also admitted Zone Three is traditionally one of the most competitive in the country’s Division One League, but believes his squad has exhibited attitude of readiness for the season coming.
He stressed that, Great Olympics is aware of the test but believe any side hoping to beat Olympics must be at their absolute best.
“Zone Three has also been difficult and we know. We are aware of the task ahead.”
