Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has set his sights on helping the Porcupine Warriors clinch the Ghana Premier League title this season, adding to the club’s recent silverware haul.
Speaking to Akoma FM, the striker stressed the importance of finally lifting the league trophy after successes in other competitions.
“We want to win the league. We have already won the FA Cup and everything else, including the Toyota Cup, so this is the time for us to win the league,” Amoah said.
Amoah, who joined Kotoko in 2024 and is in his second season with the Reds, was the match-winner in Kotoko’s narrow 1-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea at Golden City Park last weekend.
The young forward also appealed to the club’s passionate fan base to remain steadfast in their support throughout the campaign.
“I will urge the fans to always support us in both good and difficult times because, without them, we are nothing. Even when things get tough, they should stand with us,” he added.
Amoah, who has already revealed his long-term ambition to play for the Black Stars and secure a move to Europe, is expected to play a crucial role in Kotoko’s bid for the league crown this season.
