Head Coach of the Black Starlets, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has named a 23-man squad for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U17 Boys Championship in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.
The list comprises three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and seven attackers as Ghana begins its quest to qualify for the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The squad reflects a careful blend of emerging talent and tactical balance. According to the technical team, the selection was based on the players’ performance during preparatory games and training sessions in Accra and Yamoussoukro.
Ghana is in Group A together with Togo, Niger, and Ivory Coast. The Black Starlets will lock horns with Togo on Saturday in Group A opener.
