Hearts of Oak were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Bechem United in their Week 4 Ghana Premier League clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Friday afternoon.
The Phobians went into the match full of confidence after picking up seven points from their opening three games, but they were unable to break down a resolute Bechem defence despite creating a number of chances.
Coach Didi Dramani’s side dominated possession for large spells of the game, with Abdul Karim and Raphael pulling the strings in midfield.
The game did not see many chances despite as both sides were cautious with their approach.
Bechem United, who are yet to register a win this season, looked content with the draw despite extending their winless streak.
The result leaves Hearts unbeaten after four matches, though they will rue the missed opportunity to extend their winning run. Bechem, meanwhile, will take encouragement from holding one of the league’s title contenders.
