Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has expressed optimism about earning a place in the Black Stars despite being overlooked for Ghana’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
Amoah, who has been in fine form for the Porcupine Warriors this season, remains confident his performances at club level will eventually open the door for him on the international stage.
Speaking after the squad announcement, the striker said:
“I know my time will come.”
His omission comes at a time when many football observers have tipped him as one of the standout performers in the Ghana Premier League, with calls from some quarters for his inclusion in Otto Addo’s squad.
For now, Amoah insists his focus is on continuing his strong performances with Kotoko in both domestic and continental competitions, while keeping faith that his opportunity with the national team is only a matter of time.
