Newly elected National Chairman of the Asante Kotoko Supporters Group, Solomon Ofosu-Ware, has revealed that preparations are underway to announce his executive team as he begins his tenure.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage, Ofosu-Ware disclosed that although he was initially asked to submit his list of executives a day after the elections, he requested more time for consultations to ensure inclusivity and balance in his leadership.
“They asked for my executives a day after the election, but I told them it was too early and I needed to do some consultations. They agreed. I’m ready, but the challenging thing is that initially, the chairman was only in charge of circles. Now, I’m the chairman for all Kotoko fans, so I have to consider everyone,” he explained.
He added that engagements have already begun with other supporters’ groups and fans abroad to create a united front.
“We have engaged other supporters’ groups and also looked at some of the fans in the diaspora. Very soon, we will announce the first part of the executives before doing the second part later,” he revealed.
Mr. Ofosu-Ware also highlighted progress on some of his campaign promises, including the establishment of a national supporters’ office and efforts to enhance communication with fans through social media.
“The supporters’ national office is ready and operational. We’ve handed our social media accounts to a company to manage them to help connect with our fans online,” he noted.
The newly elected chairman reaffirmed his commitment to uniting the fan base and strengthening Kotoko’s support structures across Ghana and beyond.
