The Black Stars of Ghana have earned a nomination for the prestigious CAF National Team of the Year (Men) award at the 2025 CAF Awards.
Ghana joins nine other national sides on the shortlist, including Algeria, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Morocco, Morocco U-20, Senegal, South Africa, and Tunisia.
The nomination follows the Black Stars’ impressive run in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where they sealed qualification to football’s biggest stage for the fifth time in the nation’s history.
Ghana’s resurgence under coach Otto Addo has been widely praised, with the team showcasing renewed confidence and discipline throughout their qualifying campaign.
The winner will be announced during the CAF Awards Gala later this year, which celebrates the best players, teams, and officials in African football.
